Long Time No Post

I keep meaning to post an update on here, but it keeps slipping my mind.

Things are going very well with me.

I have started running!

Yes, I know it sounds odd. I used to hate running and scoffed at the idea of ever loving it as so many claimed to. However, I have found a sort of inner peace with it lately. It gets me out of my head (and out of the house) for a while and it has been working wonders!

I have lost nearly 15 pounds in six weeks and a few inches overall. My legs are noticeably shaping up and toning down and I couldn't be happier.

Sadly though, I have a rather painful shin splint and am out of commission for a while. I am getting out and at least walking when the pain isn't too bad, but running is sadly on the back burner for now. I may take up shadow boxing for now to keep the cardio up, but I miss my running. Never thought I would see the day where I said that....lol.

Quick Update

Things are going good and I am still going strong!

I am slowly getting better with T25.

I started training for a 5K and am doing a lot better than I expected considering I am not a runner at all.

I also started the Bikini Body Mommy challenge yesterday. It's rough, but not too bad. Adding it to T25 is going to make me one sore momma though.

My eating is still a work in progress, but baby steps right? I am staying within my calorie intake and am doing well with making sure I get my protein in, so I am off to a good start. :)

Long Time No Post!

It has been quite a while since I have posted anything here. I have been extremely busy and have also quit as a Beachbody coach due to making absolutely NO money. It sucked because I liked doing it, but I would like to spend my time and effort on something a little more productive.

I took some time off from working out due to oral surgery, but have recently gotten back on the wagon. I am currently doing T25. I am in love with it!

Busy Busy Busy

I haven't updated in a while because frankly, I have been very busy. My children went back to school last week and it has been a hard adjustment for me. I have been sooo tired lately. I am not sure if it's just hard for me to get on a consistent schedule or if I have something else going on. All I want to do is sleep lately.

Then on Friday, my middle son Alexavier (we call him Xay) came home from school sick and ended up with a high fever all weekend. He barely moved off the couch and cried often due to body aches and pains. He seems to be feeling better now, thankfully. I will probably keep him home tomorrow just to be safe. We will see.

I have about a month until I head up to Dallas for a weekend vacation with some friends from online. We all met in a group on Cafemom.com and each year there is a big meet-up in Dallas for anyone who can attend. It is going to be my first time going. I am so excited. I have never met any of the girls going in person, so it is going to be a treat. I want to look good though, so of course I am going to work extra hard on losing weight this month.

Today I started watching my water intake. I am aiming to drink half my body weight in ounces each day. Today, I met that goal. Yay! I just hope I can keep it up.

I am also eliminating soda from my diet other than as a once in a while treat. I won't buy it for the house anymore because frankly, no one needs it.

I also started an Insanity/Les Mills Combat hybrid workout today that I found online. It basically rotates Insanity and Combat workouts for some variety. I think I will like this a lot since I love both workout programs.

And of course, I am sticking with Shakeology. I love that stuff!

Update

Sorry I haven't updated in a while. Life has been very busy for me lately. My kids are all going back to school next week and trying to get a business set up and going is hectic.

I am doing well though. I haven't lost any additional weight, but I am noticeably toning up.

I am currently on day 19 of the squat and arm challenges. I am doing well with Les Mills Combat as well.

I also went out with my husband over the weekend and danced for over two hours. I am STILL sore from it all. I did somehow hurt my hip though and it is making my workouts a little harder, but I am managing. :)

30 Day Challenges

I LOVE 30 day challenges. I know it sounds crazy, but I do. They always target a specific body part, so I love to throw them in on top of whatever program I am currently doing. This month, I am doing squats and arms. For anyone interested, I am including both in this post. Now if you do the squats, PLEASE make sure you do a proper squat. So many people don't know how to do them properly and get discouraged when they see no results at all after the 30 days. If you don't know how to do a proper squat or even just want to check and make sure you have your form correct, I recommend looking it up on youtube.

Now I started these both yesterday, so I am on day two. If you want to do it along with me, we can keep each other accountable. You know where to find me. :)



Now I know you may look at these and go WHAT!!!! 250 SQUATS? ARE YOU CRAZY?!?

Don't immediately toss these aside because you don't think you can do it. TRY! That is all I ask.
